With the Triple-S becoming more and more prestigious as the years go by I decided to take a trip to Thailand and visit some cable parks to improve my riding on rails. Riding park is progressive and is the reason I love it so much, it is technical and I am always learning something new.
I first visited Thai Wake Park (TWP) near Bangkok, I have heard many stories about this park and decided it was time to take a look myself. I joined up with Craig Cunningham and Colleen Carroll and rode for 5 days, everyday riding the technical rail layout that had been implemented for plastic playground.
Up next on our itinerary was Phuket Wake Park (PWP) on the island of Phuket about an hour flight from Bangkok, here we rented a moped and was able to explore the island as well as ride the cable everyday. PWP is full of unit features for all levels and offers accommodation only a few meters away, it is perfect for anyone looking to improve their riding. For me it was great as many of the rails were very similar to what we use whilst park riding with a kite, so it was great to dial in and get some new moves locked in.
Traveling around the island we found many amazing restaurants, with a huge variety of veggie and vegan places, we went to see a couple of cool tourist attractions and even took a look at the main kiteboarding spots in the South.
All in all we had a great trip, it was a real experience.
