The hosting of COP27 in the green city of Sharm El-Sheikh this year marks the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. In the thirty years since, the world has come a long way in the fight against climate change and its negative impacts on our planet; we are now able to better understand the science behind climate change, better assess its impacts, and better develop tools to address its causes and consequences.

Lewis Crathern in partnership with the Global Wind Energy Council has been tasked with:

Creating kitesurfing video and imagery content to support the COP27 campaign
Secure visibility with Egypt Government Stakeholders, the UK Ambassador, Red Sea Governor and within local communities including young people.
Highlight the Importance of wind energy as a means of socioeconomic development for the red sea region and its role as a key zone for wind energy development.
Underline the significance of wind energy globally and for Egypt to reach climate goals committed to at COP
Showcase Ras Ghareb as a key example of a local community transitioning from Oil & Gas jobs to Wind Energy.
