We started our drive south on the 13’th as Noosa Heads was as far North as we had planned to go. We dropped off the rental car and grabbed the RV as it would be cheaper and more efficient to make sessions happen that having to plan Air BnB’s or hotels last minute and pack the rental car with 3+ sets of kit. We did the rest of the trip other than the 5 days in Melbourne at the end in the RV.

Next up, we met with the owner of Newcastle Kite and SUP on the 14th and stayed the night in the RV parked at his shop! Couldn’t stay long as we had a lot of ground to cover and spots to check to get to Sydney for the 16th to do the premiere. We met the guys from Wind, Surf and Snow and got everything sorted for the premiere that night. The venue was very rad and we were able to meet a lot of very stoked people after the showing, still well worth it. The next day we did a demo in the city with Kitesurfing Lessons at Botany Bay and had a big storm roll through that brought us some much needed wind and we had around 25 people or so out, learning tricks, trying gear and giving on land instruction.

After that, we seemed to have bad luck on the wind with only a few really good sessions and a handful of beautiful spots that just didn’t work quite right but we’ll have to go back to score at them at some point!
