Colleen and I then flew in to Brisbane on the 8th, met Noe and went straight to the Gold Coast the next morning to meet the guys from Surf FX who were helping us with the first premiere on the 10th. We rented a car and got an Air BnB because the RV would be to big to drive around in the city. We hosted the premiere at a really nice venue called The Arts Center with free beer from Surf FX, which is a great shop by the way! We had about 100 people out and received great feedback from everyone there. We even had an enthusiastic response from moms who didn’t kite! On the 11th we did a demo/clinic with the locals and had 20 people out despite a bad forecast. We still all got on the water and ended the demo with a downwinder with a few of the more advanced locals. We had quite a lot of interaction on instagram and facebook from locals who were in Australia and wrote to us about the premieres, demos, where they could meet us at the beach, etc. It was cool to know that our followers are that tuned in to what we are doing and where we are. We met many of these people in person and their reactions were priceless.
