I’ve always loved art, although I’ve never really been good at it... but I guess everyones interpretations are different so maybe I am or could be? Anyways, Cologne has some amazingly creative street art, not graffiti like you see in a lot of other areas but proper art on the street! Every corner you turn has something interesting to look at. We came to the city to meet up with my old pal Matty from back home in Canada. He’s working in Cologne with Unit Park Tech who build the best features in action sports. I was meant to go have meeting with them about building some features for kiting then catch up with Matty and ride some of the legendary wake parks in the area! We ventured to Langenfeld, the Bricks and even did a quick day trip to Terhills park in Belgium. The parks here in Europe really impressed me and I wish we had more of these vibes in North America. It’s great rocking up to a wake park to see that it’s a cool place to hang out with your friends and families rather than just a place to go shred. The trip definitely didn’t disappoint sports wise but what was most interesting was how impressive all the spots we saw along the way, it’s always nice when road trips turn out to be more fun than the actual destination!
