Competition

Finally the world tour is back in Germany with a stop at Scharbeutz at the Baltic Sea. The top paddlers from all over the world came to Germany for this competition. The Competition started with the sprint races on Saturday. The condition were windy and choppy, my favourite conditions to do sprints. I won the first runnings confidently. In the semi finals I had the chance to hold my second place to get to the final. But at the second mark I got attacked by a few top guys. They were faster than me and I couldn’t make it under the first three. All in all I was still happy with my speed and starts. On Sunday we had the longdistance race. It was an interesting course with 7 laps. I had an amazing start and was on a great position in the leading group. But sadly I couldn’t hold the speed of the top guys. It was a great event with warm weather at the final day. Further it was nice to see the other paddler and friends again.
