To be well prepared for the SUP EM in Lacanau in France I arrived two weeks earlier. I stayed in a small house at a camping site near the beach. I wanted to get used to the conditions at Lacanau Beach, the beach break and the current. In addition to this I used this time for some last intense training units. The first week was really great with calm winds, warm and sunny days and the best clean waves I was riding for a long time. I found my rhythm in surfing and felt pretty well prepared. In the second week the ocean turn angry and we got 25 knots onshore wind for almost the whole week. We decided to discover the towns around Lacanau. We found some nice small fishing villages and nice nature. To get my training down I went to the lakes around Lacanau for making some distance on my raceboard.
